Moray is quite a straightforward area to travel to with good air links and transfer services especially from Inverness. There are a number of train services from the South (including Edinburgh and Glasgow) and you will have the option to travel either via Inverness or Aberdeen. Both routes are well known for their scenery but the mainline route from Perth to Inverness is best known.
The closest airport to Moray is Inverness Airport which is situated on the eastern side of Inverness. There are flights from around the UK and Amsterdam. There is an Inverness airport bus service which travels frequently to Forres and Elgin in Moray.
Still within reasonable distance is Aberdeen Airport. It is situated at Dyce to the west of Aberdeen. There is a bus-
Scotrail operates the train service between Inverness and Aberdeen. Trains stop in Moray at Forres, Elgin and Keith. There are regular connections to Inverness and Aberdeen from the South.

Megabus is a discount fare bus company with frequent limited stop, fast routes North to either Aberdeen or Inverness. Join the service at Glasgow, Edinburgh (and Edinburgh Airport), Dundee or Perth. Continue to Moray by Bus or Train.
The No. 10 bus service runs between Inverness and Aberdeen through Moray. (There is also the No. 35 which takes a longer route to Elgin via rural areas).
