Practical Information for your visit to Keith

Although there is no tourist information centre, there are many information boards around the town giving the history of Keith and pointing out buildings of significance.

Lookout for the “Paths Around Keith” leaflet pack. It’s free and is an excellent guide to help make the most of your visit.

Car parking is free and plentiful in Keith. From Aberdeen, turn into Reidhaven Square for parking. Mid Street is the main shopping street which runs from the square. Mid Street has on street parking, and you will find a range of independent shops, bank machine and post office.

Public conveniences are situated in Reidhaven Square and Regent Square.

Keith train station lies on the main railway line between Aberdeen & Inverness. Elgin is about 20 minutes by train. It’s an uphill walk into Keith so you might want to take a taxi or bus service 309.

The main bus stops are by the two squares. Service 10 is the main service to Elgin along the A96. Keith to Elgin takes around 45 minutes. For other connections most will stop at Reidhaven Square. There are a number of bus services to towns such as Cullen, Dufftown and Aberlour but they do not run every day.
