The Stag at Baxters’ Visitor Centre

The WDCS Wildlife Centre
Spey Bay near Fochabers is situated at the mouth of the River Spey. Although not
guaranteed, dolphin and osprey sightings are a frequent occurrence. Shop, café and
exhibition area.
Signposted on the A96, West of Fochabers. Free Admission.
Moray Monster Trails – Mountain Biking
For a real adrenaline rush, head for the Moray Monster Trails - a collection of graded
routes between Fochabers and Craigellachie. Whiteash and Ordequish are the 2 access
points near Fochabers. There is also a Rothes section.
Whiteash – from Fochabers head towards Buckie and park at the Winding Walks.
Ordequish – turn right off the main street at the chip shop and follow road for 1
mile.
Tynet Trout Fishery
The fishery is set in a beautiful location in between Fochabers and Buckie. The pond
is stocked with rainbow trout for fly-fishing only. Free tea & coffee for fishermen.
Tackle hire £5 per day. Open 7 days a week 8am till 2 hrs before dark.
Fochabers Folk Museum and Heritage Centre
The museum houses a fascinating collection of gigs and carriages and an eclectic
array of everyday objects showing the way of life and traditions of the north east
of Scotland in the 18th and 19th centuries. There is also the RAF Dallachy exhibition.
