East Beach is the main beach in Hopeman and has lots of rock pools to explore as well as a wide area of sand. It's the only place in Moray with beach huts, most of which are brightly coloured and a real gem for photographers. The Moray Firth Dolphins are regularly spotted travelling along the coast and there are walks through the sand dunes - discover dinosaur footprints and a healing well.

Behind the beach there is a play area and skateboard park.

The beach is well signposted - head for the second car park area (behind the beach huts) to find the widest section of sand.

Hopeman has its priorities right with a reserved parking space for ice cream vans! There's a short walk into the village to find fish and chips, shops and pubs.
